What medication has worked out best for you?

As we all know – trialing out medication can be a rollercoaster ride. It can be strenuous as we try out a variety that leaves with with random side effects. But when we do find the one that works, it is such a relief!

So the question for this week’s Pain Warrior Talks is – what medication has worked out best for you?

For me, I have found dicoflenac has been the most useful to me. I haven’t had any side effects that I can recall of and it usually attacks my migraine attacks!

  1. For me it’s always been prednisolone. None of the immunosuppressants or chemo drugs we tried worked, or there were problems. During a flare, it’s the only thing that brings pain relief too. 🙁

    1. ooh hate those drugs that bring on more problems than what you initially started out with. I’m pleased that you do have something that at least brings some relief to you. How long does your flares usually last for? ?

    2. Yea, a love hate relationship like we all have with meds hey! 😉 It depends, they can last a day, or months.

  2. I had a chronic migraine that was 24/7 for 16 years and the medication that eased the pain the most for me with no side effects was injected Toradol. The Toradol pill was useless, only the injection worked. Then a Neurologist treated me with Botox injections all over my head and neck, once a month for 3 months. Now I only have a few migraines a month and Eletriptan pills work on those.
